About TheraVet

About TheraVet

Exceptional care from an experienced veterinarian meets → your pet's favorite spot on the sofa

Exceptional care from an experienced veterinarian meets → your pet's favorite spot on the sofa

We focus on supporting quality of life for pets through pain relief and restoring mobility. TheraVet is not a full service veterinary practice. We’ve chosen not to do everything so we can focus on the things we do extraordinarily. We work with your primary care provider to augment the areas of care that the traditional veterinary practice model finds difficult to provide.

Danielle Skloven, DVM, CCRT, is a veterinarian and Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist with over 13 years of clinical experience and a background in primary care, surgery, dentistry, and comprehensive case management. She began her career in veterinary medicine in 2013 as a veterinary assistant, earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of California, Davis, in 2020, and became certified through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute in 2025.

As an associate doctor at Mt Tabor Veterinary Care and Frontier Veterinary Hospital in Portland, OR, Dr. Skloven managed diverse, complex caseloads, including medical and surgical patients, behavioral consultations, and palliative and end-of-life care. After seeing countless patients whose quality of life was affected by pain or decreased mobility, she narrowed her focus to pain management and rehabilitation. Her passion for helping aging pets, comforting those in chronic pain, and finding mobility solutions for debilitated pets led her to create TheraVet.
